Although she trained in the United States where she studied at the University of Alabama (she majored in Public Relations) she is still considered to be the best doubles tennis player in the history of her country. This is Guarachi’s second time playing in a professional tournament in Guadalajara. “I feel very good, the last time I was here, it was incredible. That’s why I am very excited to return. People here love tennis and this is a great event. I hope to meet the expectations. We are in a very difficult group, each game represents will present a great challenge, but we will go game by game. The first objective is to qualify for the semifinals,” said the Chilean.
With a couple of tough losses this season, including the finals at Roland Garros and semi-finals at the US Open, Parma and Charleston, Guarachi acknowledges that the support of her family has been fundamental in her career, “My dad has advised me a lot in my career, also as a coac. Thanks to him, who is my support, is why I am here. My brother (Stefan) who is at home with my mom is my inspiration. I don’t want to let them down, they support me from home,” Gurachi said.
